Plug connectors independent of the mounting rail are now available for the ST-Combi range of pluggable spring cage terminal blocks from Phoenix Contact. With these 'flying' couplings, connections can be accommodated in cable channels and distributor shafts.
A plug contact with 24 A/500 V is used. As the contact area in the coupling is identical to that in the terminal block, units require the same plugs. The coupling has two labeling areas on the front side that enables CAD system allocation and contact disk serial numbering to be applied. A test socket is integrated into every coupling disk so that all the contact points can be checked with a 2.3 mm test plug.
