Spiral form fastening

The Orbitform Group has announced a Spiralform cartridge into its standard product line. Spiralform displaces material using an eleven-sided spiral pattern similar to those created by the old Spirograph drawing toy. As the forming tool contacts the surface, material is said to uniformly flow out from the centre, providing superior strength and surfacing.

The versatile process can be used on: ferrous and non-ferrous metals; die cast materials; case-hardened fasteners; and, ceramics, glass, and other delicate materials and assemblies.
