Automotive wire harness tape

To facilitate wire harness recycling, Scapa Automotive has introduced Autolon 824, a halogen free harnessing tape that looks and feels like PVC but emits no toxins during combustion.
Suitable for wire harness wrapping, clip retention and color code identification, the tape is a polyolefin film single coated with a synthetic rubber pressure sensitive adhesive. The tape is said to match the performance of PVC tapes, offering good elongation, easy unwind and tear, and conformability for simple application. Autolon 824 also offers a fogging number between 70 and 95, withstands temperatures up to 85°C, and provides resistance to cold, fluids, and abrasion.
