Please do not adjust your monitor: Design Product News
gets a "fashion" makeover

When Design Product News was launched back in 1973, bellbottom trousers were still the fashion, Pierre Elliot Trudeau was Prime Minister of Canada and U.S. troops were in South Vietnam.

The graphical design of the magazine reflected the times and the DPN logo became a recognizable icon in the industry. But as any industrial designer knows, it's the  container that makes a consumer want to pick up and play with the product.

So the time has come to give our design an updated "3D" look that I hope jumps out at you (in a pleasing, not a recoil-in-horror-kind-of-way).

Inside your September 2005 edition of DPN, we've added a table of contents page to provide a time-efficient snapshot of the issue, but otherwise you'll find the same quality content you've applauded for over 30 years, backed by the solid editorial team behind it.

Also for many of you – just to make sure the magazine content still meets with your approval – look for the 2005 DPN Reader Survey landing in your desktop e-mailbox next week.

Please give us two minutes of your valuable time when the survey arrives – and we'll enter your name into a random draw for prizes such as a portable DVD player and a Taylor Made brand golf driver!

Profitable surfing!
